The Old Pharmacy

The Old Pharmacy is located in Magalas, just off the D909 north of Beziers, and is between the Montaigne Noir (Black Mountains to the north and west and the Mediterranean to the south-east.

It is ideally situated for a wide range of visual delights within as little as five minutes driving time.

A typical Midi town house, fully restored in 2005 to the highest standard, the house has been finished and equipped as our family holiday home and reflects everything that we would want to have in a French rental, but never seemed to get!

Its high ceilings and pristine white walls make it bright and spacious, with all the small conveniences and touches that make it a true home-from-home!

High ceilings and original tiled floors give the house a spacious and airy feel, which is complemented by higher than average quality furniture and fittings.

The entrance hall and stairs are decorated with traditional frescoes painted by a local artist. A flight of stairs leads to the living accommodation.

Another flight of stairs leads up to the second floor bedrooms.
The first floor leads out onto the spacious outdoor terrace where there is a large table seating eight people.This provides a superb space for al-fresco wining and dining and for enjoying those long warm Languedoc summer evenings!

The TV receives all English channels, and there is a large collection of DVD’s.

The Old Pharmacy has attracted in international clientele, with guests coming from Canada, California, Germany, Ireland, Poland and Spain as well as the UK.

There is an expanding library including photographic technical reference books, and examples of creative photography from world-class photographers.
